COAT Mackage // SWEATER Topshop  // BAG Givenchy // PANT Hue // SHOES Report Signature

Maybe it’s because I’m still in a New York state of mind, but all I want to do is layer up in neutrals and drink cappuccinos all day. In California, we’ve been experiencing some odd weather (what else is new?). One day it’s rainy, the next it’s warm and sunny. This can make it really difficult to know what to wear! However, I know most of you are still getting some pretty chilly days, so I wanted to show you what I wear when it’s on the colder side.

I’ve always loved the look of layered textures, but there’s just something so dreamy about the leather and wool combo. This grey coat by Mackage is the perfect weight for a windy day and I just adore they way it drapes. I mixed in a carmel colored  pullover by Topshop to break up the dark tones of the coat and leather leggings.

I accessorized this look with my favorite Givenchy clutch, which can be worn with pretty much everything. It’s the perfect size to hold your essentials and it makes a major style statement! I threw on my favorite hybrid sandals by Report Signature because they are a great transition shoe for spring.

how to get a whiter smile now

TOP Forever21 // JACKET Madewell // DENIM Paige denim

We all want smoother skin, toned abs and frizz-free hair, but we often forget how much of an impact our smiles have on our overall appearance. I’ve done a few of the over-the-counter whitening treatments and have seen pretty decent results, but I’ve never had a professional whiting treatment from a dentist. I was thrilled when Dr. Ryoo of Ryoo Dental in Fullerton asked if I would be up for trying an in-office professional whitening treatment. I was game right away, since one of my goals for 2016 was to get a whiter, brighter smile.

Dr. Ryoo’s office is super modern and streamlined. The staff made me feel right at home and I never felt any of the normal “dentist dread” you would normally experience from such a visit. Dr. Ryoo began by checking out my teeth and comparing the current shade of my teeth to his faux teeth in an array of different shades. He said that my teeth were already pretty white (yay me!), but that I still had some discoloration from my obsession with coffee and red wine. I told him that I wasn’t about to quit two of my only vices, but that I would try to “cut back” for the sake of whiter teeth.

He then prepared the bleach he would be using in the treatment and informed me that my teeth or gums may become a bit sensitive during or after the treatment. However, I didn’t feel any discomfort at all during the procedure. I was in the chair for about two hours, but always felt very comfortable and well-informed by Dr. Ryoo.

After the treatment, I was able to see a difference immediately! My smile was whiter and I could definitely see the difference when I compared my old shade with the new, brighter color. Dr. Ryoo then created a customized mold for my take-home whitening system, which I would be using for the upkeep of my new pearly whites. I’ve been using the in-home system every other night (per the doctor’s orders) and have noticed a huge difference in my smile. I’ve also received many compliments on how white my teeth look, which is always a plus!

If you live in the Orange County, CA area and are wanting a whiter, brighter smile, be sure to pay a visit to Dr. Ryoo in Fullerton. I mean, just take a look at my before and after photos! You can also check out his informative blog, here.
Here’s to a shiny smile in 2016!

SWEATER No Rest for Bridget // COAT Andrew Marc // BAG Chanel // PANT Hue // HAT Rag and Bone

My goal for 2016 is to travel more. I’ve been spoiled by living in Orange County because I’m only about a 45 minute drive to LA, San Diego and Palm Springs. Since most of my clients live in these areas, I’ve never had the need to travel much for work. However, with my styling and wedding businesses growing, I will be traveling much more this year. I will be flying everywhere from Cabo San Lucas to San Fransisco to visit clients and style their weddings.

Though I am very excited to style a gorgeous outdoor wedding in Ojai this summer and as much as I can’t wait to ride my road bike in Napa Valley this fall, what I am most looking forward to is spending more time in my favorite place in the world, New York. I just returned from New York Fashion Week and though it was freezing (for this California girl and locals alike!), it was a blast!

The four days were a whirlwind of shopping for clients, eating way too much yummy food, taking outfit photos for the blog and getting inspired for spring/summer 2016. I tried my best to look stylish while braving the cold and even changed clothes in the middle of Central Park to get the photos that you see in this post! Thanks to my amazing sister/photog Emma, our good friend Sarah and my mom, we were able to capture these amazing images.

I’ve had a lot of clients asking when I will be in New York again so that I can style them. I’m excited to announce that I will be going back and forth from OC to NY a few times a year to begin taking personal styling clients in the city! If you’re needing a wardrobe update, need help shopping for a special event or simply need someone to help you navigate shopping in the Big Apple, I’m your girl. Stay tuned for upcoming dates and available appointment times.

I look forward to my next trip to Manhattan in August and hope to see you there!
