Style Copy Cat: Zoe Saldana Style

Let’s face it. Zoe Saldana is a total babe. She kicks butt in movies such as Star Trek and Guardians of the Galaxy. She also happens to be a total fashion plate on and off the red carpet. With the body of a seasoned dancer and the face any super model would envy, Zoe makes anything she wears look fashion forward and elegant.

The look she is rocking below is understated, yet effortlessly chic. I love the silhouette of the loose trouser with the fitted striped t-shirt. The color palette of grey, black and white also works for every season. Copy Zoe’s look when running errands around town or on a casual date night.

Best Dressed at 2014 The Met Ball

The annual Met Gala is a time when celebs, models and fashion mavens come out to play. This year’s gala theme revolved around Anglo-American couturier, Charles James, whose iconic designs have shaped the way we see fashion today. The A-list guests paid homage to James by donning structured downs and bold color combinations. Though many looked chic and elegant (hello Emma Stone!), some seemed to miss the mark (sorry, Kim K.).

Take a look at some of my favorite looks of the night and be sure to let me know your favorites as well!

{ Can we just talk about the perfection that is this outfit? Emma Stone rocked the Color of the Year in the best of ways with the the Radiant Orchid top and raspberry skirt. This Thakoon look was an A+ in my book! }

{ Ok, I mean seriously, talk about perfection. Blake Lively rocked every inch of this Gucci gown. Everything from her wavy locks to her dramatic train looked elegant and sexy. }

{ Maybe it’s just because I have a major style crush on Marion Cotillard, but I just I loved every bit of this navy textured Dior dress. The nude underlay and plunging neckline were subtle, yet sexy. And those shoes? I can’t. }

{ I always say that Charlize could wear a paper bag and still look incredible, but this Dior gown is right on the money. I loved her minimal makeup, sleek hair and even the men’s jacket worn as an accessory. Black and white never looked so good. }

{ Amy Adam’s silver Oscar de la Renta was refreshing in a sea of dark colored gowns. Though I wish her gorgeous hair was down, I was still a huge fan of this gown on her. The fabric looks great on camera and on her fair skin. }

Lena Dunham on the Cover of Glamour Magazine

Say what you will, but no one can convince me that Lena Dunham isn’t just plain great. She is talented, funny, clever and an “It” Girl of our generation. I have been a fan of her show, Girls, since it first premiered on HBO and I’ve been hooked ever since. She not only created the show, but she also stars in and writes each episode, which is pretty impressive in and of itself. The show paints a real-life (and sometimes depressing) portrait of four girls trying to navigate life in the big city of New York.

Lena’s personal style is as unique as her personality and writing voice. She has received a lot of flack from critics because of her wardrobe choices on and off the red carpet. However, Lena dances to the beat of her own drum, and quite frankly doesn’t care what you think. There is something very refreshing about a girl working in Hollywood who is actually more concerned about her work than how she dresses. That’s why I was so happy to find Lena Dunham on the cover of Glamour magazine this month. Hopefully this serves as an example to women everywhere that you don’t have to look like a super model (or even want to) to make it big.
