Editorial Styling for Drop It Modern

Between wedding and fashion styling, I have had the pleasure of working with some pretty amazingly talented people in my day. Some of them include the top fashion photographers, models and designers in the biz. Lucia Dinh is the creator and founder of Utterly Engaged Magazine and is one of the crazy talented people mentioned above. Her eye for design and style is always spot on and that’s why I love when I get the chance to work with her!

The shoot below includes some of my favorite images captured by fashion and lifestyle photographer, Amber Canterbury. The session was shot for Drop It Modern’s latest ad campaign, which featured a variety of sparkly backdrops to be featured in Utterly Engaged. Most of the photos include bridal gowns from one of my favorite local boutiques, Mon Amie Bridal Salon, but there are a few vintage party dresses thrown in the mix.

I hope you enjoy the art we created!

Best Dressed: 2015 Golden Globe Awards

It’s that time of year again. Time for glitz, glamour, celebs and after parties! Award Season is here and we’re kicking it all off with the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. The red carpet was very diverse this year, which was really refreshing. It seemed like the stars were branching out by wearing more daring designs. Emma Stone and Lorde looked smokin’ in their fashion forward pant suits, while Katherine Heigl and Diane Kruger looked stunning in clean, modern designs.

Over all my favs of the night included the gals listed below. Who was on your best dressed list?

STYLED SHOOT WITH LA MODELS // PART ONE

Happy New Year everyone! I am so excited to start 2015 off right with an amazing shoot I had the pleasure of styling for LA Models few months back. We had such an amazing team of talented people including photographer and friend Patrick Yandoc and hair and makeup gal, Elisa K. I had so much fun styling this shoot because it was all about minimalism and clean lines. I chose clothing and accessories from some of my favorite designers which included Helmut Lang, The Kooples, Gucci and Alexander Wang. I hope you enjoy this shoot as much as we loved making it happen. Stay tuned for part 2!

Best Dressed at 2014 The Met Ball

The annual Met Gala is a time when celebs, models and fashion mavens come out to play. This year’s gala theme revolved around Anglo-American couturier, Charles James, whose iconic designs have shaped the way we see fashion today. The A-list guests paid homage to James by donning structured downs and bold color combinations. Though many looked chic and elegant (hello Emma Stone!), some seemed to miss the mark (sorry, Kim K.).

Take a look at some of my favorite looks of the night and be sure to let me know your favorites as well!

{ Can we just talk about the perfection that is this outfit? Emma Stone rocked the Color of the Year in the best of ways with the the Radiant Orchid top and raspberry skirt. This Thakoon look was an A+ in my book! }

{ Ok, I mean seriously, talk about perfection. Blake Lively rocked every inch of this Gucci gown. Everything from her wavy locks to her dramatic train looked elegant and sexy. }

best dressed at the met ball 2014

{ Maybe it’s just because I have a major style crush on Marion Cotillard, but I just I loved every bit of this navy textured Dior dress. The nude underlay and plunging neckline were subtle, yet sexy. And those shoes? I can’t. }

best dressed at the met ball 2014

{ I always say that Charlize could wear a paper bag and still look incredible, but this Dior gown is right on the money. I loved her minimal makeup, sleek hair and even the men’s jacket worn as an accessory. Black and white never looked so good. }

best dressed at the met ball 2014

{ Amy Adam’s silver Oscar de la Renta was refreshing in a sea of dark colored gowns. Though I wish her gorgeous hair was down, I was still a huge fan of this gown on her. The fabric looks great on camera and on her fair skin. }
