Whenever I’m in LA, I have a few places that I always have to visit while I’m in town. One of those places is the Viceroy Santa Monica. I just love the vibe of this boutique hotel. The decor is ultra stylish and the location couldn’t be more ideal! Nestled across the street from the West Coast shore, The Viceroy is the perfect spot for a staycation or for first time visitors to take in LA. Guests can lounge by the cabana lined pool during the day, do some shopping in the afternoon and then grab a cocktail at the lounge style bar before catching some zzz’s.
Now let’s talk about this dress. It’s A.L.C. and it’s just perfect. I love the shift shape and how understated it is. It also perfectly matches the Viceroy’s plate wall. I mean, how perfect is that?

Maybe it’s because I’m still in a New York state of mind, but all I want to do is layer up in neutrals and drink cappuccinos all day. In California, we’ve been experiencing some odd weather (what else is new?). One day it’s rainy, the next it’s warm and sunny. This can make it really difficult to know what to wear! However, I know most of you are still getting some pretty chilly days, so I wanted to show you what I wear when it’s on the colder side.
I’ve always loved the look of layered textures, but there’s just something so dreamy about the leather and wool combo. This grey coat by Mackage is the perfect weight for a windy day and I just adore they way it drapes. I mixed in a carmel colored pullover by Topshop to break up the dark tones of the coat and leather leggings.
I accessorized this look with my favorite Givenchy clutch, which can be worn with pretty much everything. It’s the perfect size to hold your essentials and it makes a major style statement! I threw on my favorite hybrid sandals by Report Signature because they are a great transition shoe for spring.

My goal for 2016 is to travel more. I’ve been spoiled by living in Orange County because I’m only about a 45 minute drive to LA, San Diego and Palm Springs. Since most of my clients live in these areas, I’ve never had the need to travel much for work. However, with my styling and wedding businesses growing, I will be traveling much more this year. I will be flying everywhere from Cabo San Lucas to San Fransisco to visit clients and style their weddings.
Though I am very excited to style a gorgeous outdoor wedding in Ojai this summer and as much as I can’t wait to ride my road bike in Napa Valley this fall, what I am most looking forward to is spending more time in my favorite place in the world, New York. I just returned from New York Fashion Week and though it was freezing (for this California girl and locals alike!), it was a blast!
The four days were a whirlwind of shopping for clients, eating way too much yummy food, taking outfit photos for the blog and getting inspired for spring/summer 2016. I tried my best to look stylish while braving the cold and even changed clothes in the middle of Central Park to get the photos that you see in this post! Thanks to my amazing sister/photog Emma, our good friend Sarah and my mom, we were able to capture these amazing images.
I’ve had a lot of clients asking when I will be in New York again so that I can style them. I’m excited to announce that I will be going back and forth from OC to NY a few times a year to begin taking personal styling clients in the city! If you’re needing a wardrobe update, need help shopping for a special event or simply need someone to help you navigate shopping in the Big Apple, I’m your girl. Stay tuned for upcoming dates and available appointment times.
I look forward to my next trip to Manhattan in August and hope to see you there!
